Although the Slingerland Approach was originally developed to support children with dyslexia and specific reading difficulties, any student in grades K–8 who struggles with reading, writing, or spelling can benefit from structured literacy instruction. An official diagnosis isn’t required for parents to seek expert, Orton-Gillingham–based support. With consistent, individualized intervention, children can strengthen their fluency, spelling, and comprehension—building confidence and achieving greater academic success.
